Who we Are
Prana is the Sanskrit word for "life force". In ancient literature prana was described as originating from the Sun and connecting the elements of the Universe. Flowers breathe life into a space.
Tessara Céline Mahadevan Shetty founded Prana Design LLC hoping to inspire clients with her designs and connect them with the elements gifted from nature. She began her professional life in Finance and Real Estate and later followed her heart back to the world of design. Ms. Shetty was formally trained at the FlowerSchool NY, which was founded by Eileen Johnson. Her love for horticulture and design blossomed as a child, as she was a Junior Garden Club member and was often found working in her mother's expansive perennial gardens in their Connecticut home.
Tessara is a Member of the Port Saint Lucie Orchid Society, Preservation Society of Newport County, Bellevue Ochre Point Neighborhood Association, Newport County Board of Realtors, Member of the Board-Woodbridge Parks Association, and volunteer for the Potter League for Animals.
Tessara's love affair with Newport Harbor began as a member of Salve Regina University's sailing team. The harbor's grace and beauty continues to inspire Prana Design's style.
